INTRODUCTION

The company HORMETA S.A. respects your preoccupations concerning protection of your private life and personal data. Your personal data collected is mainly handled by the company HORMETA S.A., and occasionally its foreign entities, in its capacity as handling
manager.

The present policy describes the purposes for which the company HORMETA S.A. uses information pertaining to you, collected when you use the website www.hormeta.com (hereinafter the “Site”), including its versions for smartphones and tablets, as well as when you buy from one of our certified retailers, and generally speaking, when you interact with us. The present policy informs you of the origin and use of browsing information collected through cookies, as well as the methods for exercising your associated rights.

This policy applies to all the pages of the Site, applications and services offered by the company HORMETA S.A., referred to under the terms “HORMETA S.A.”, “Us”, “Our”, referring back to this policy and is in adjunction to the Site’s T&C’s (as well as any other document or notice referring to this policy). By using our Site, you accept the terms of the present policy and consent to our collecting and handling of your personal data in compliance with our policy on the protection of personal data. 1. PERSONAL DATA COLLECTED AND HANDLED – COOKIES INSTALLED AND ACTIVATED

1.3 Analytics Cookie

We use software (Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager) to analyze certain information related to visitors such as traffic on the Site Hormeta.com, use of the browser, the number of new visitors, marketing activity and orders placed. This information helps us to improve our Site, the shopping experience and our campaigns. The data stored by this cookie can only be viewed by the relevant teams at HORMETA S.A., but does not record any confidential information.

1.5 Third-party Cookies

HORMETA S.A. also accepts that partner companies may use cookies within the context of providing targeted advertising. Hormeta.com uses the “share” function for content via social networks like Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest.

1.7. Cookie Settings

3. WHAT TYPE OF INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?

HORMETA S.A. collects several types of personal data:

3.1 Information which you provide us with directly

We collect information that you communicate to us directly when you use our Site and interact with us.

  • Subscribe to our loyalty program (not yet set on our Site),
  • Perform purchases from one of our certified retailers or on our Site,

5. HOW LONG IS YOUR PERSONAL DATA CONSERVED FOR?

Generally speaking, your personal data is conserved for the duration of your relationship with us, with an additional three years after the end of our commercial relations, then it is archived in order to comply with our legal obligations or for probative purposes or is rendered anonymous for the purposes of studies and statistics.

We do however conserve certain data after the deletion of your account when this retention is required by law, or when this conservation is necessary to enable us to manage claims or disputes. In this case, data required for the resolution of a problem or dispute will be conserved for the duration of the dispute within the limits of applicable law in terms of the statute of limitations. Other data may be conserved after having undergone treatment intended to prevent its being attributed to an identified individual for the purposes of studies and statistics.
